BEST Logistics was established in 2000 in Szczecin, Poland, on the initiative of Andreas Häfner, who at that time supervised a growing number of project shipments by Polish inland waterways for HAEGER & SCHMIDT GmbH based in Duisburg, Germany. The decision to set up a branch office in Poland was a logical consequence of the situation and was expected to provide a stimulus for the company’s further growth and improvement in service quality.
The decision soon proved to be the right one, and BEST Logistics has earned a reputation as a specialized provider of customized logistics services for the movement of abnormal and over-dimensional loads. Serving as a connecting link between business partners from Poland and Western Europe, BEST Logistics has bridged a major gap in the market.
Today, our core business is arranging transportation, transloading and on-site assembly of heavy and oversized items across Poland, Europe and worldwide. Our scope and area of operation are reflected in the company’s ownership structure: Best Logistics Sp. z o.o. is now 80% owned by FELBERMAYR Group, a leading provider of project cargo transport solutions as well as heavy lifting and installation services in Central and Western Europe.
